Bundy in June again

Spent 2 nights at Melissa and Luke's for the start of the school holidays. Brayden is also staying for few days. Monday 26/6. Went for a walk around the Botanical Gardens. Being a good big brother, Brayden lifted Haylee over the water. Tuesday 27/6 The girls and I went to cinema and watched Elemental in the morning. Then we picked up Brayden from Luke's work and went shopping and out for lunch. I've had quite a few snuggles with Ruby 👸

Bundy in June

June 7th we headed up to Bundy about 1.30 in the morning as Melissa was in the very early stages of labour. Miss Ruby wasn't going to wait until the 22nd. After we got Millie and Haylee off to school we went to the Botanical Gardens for a walk and devonshire tea. Little Miss Earlybird, Ruby Ann, was born at 3.41pm. A very healthy 3.64kgs. Millie and Haylee love their little sister. Our 11th grandchild. June 8th. After we walked the girls to school we went out for brunch at 'Somewhere to Eat'. Luke shouted us a tour and paddle tasting board at the Kalki Moon Gin & Rum distillery. It was very informative and we may have purchased a few of the drinks we sampled. Luke brought Melissa and Ruby home from the hospital and we had a little cuddle before the girls came home from school. June 9th. June 11th. Luke, Haylee and I walked to the markets. June 12th. June 14th. Outside for a bit of sunshine. June 15th. Finally old enough to sit in the front of Nan'...

Day 2 K'gari 28.11.23

After breakfast we explored around the resort area. Pool entrance ⬆️ Road entrance ⬇️ A new information centre opened in 2021. Lots of photos and written information. We had a look in the gallery. I really liked this photo of a paper bark tree on the shores of Lake McKenzie but at a size of 100 x 67 cm and a price of $1250 we decided to leave it in the gallery. Joined the morning ranger guided Wallum walk in various stages of rain. Lots of paperbark and banksia trees. The water in these lakes is acidity and home to the rocket frog. Lunch at the Sand & Wood bar. Went for a paddle at the beach and the pool to test out our new camera underwater. Those photos will be put up when we get home. With more rain coming we headed back to the resort. A friendly fella we met on the track. In the afternoon Mark had a snooze and I went for another walk but gave up when it started to rain again.
